A splash of Sapphire Blue among the fall colors of Rockland Lake | Porsche Cayman GT4 Gallery

Just two miles up the road from our Upper Nyack-based Porsche & European performance & repair shop at the base of Hook Mountain with Congers to its west, sits Rockland Lake State Park.
It’s part of a continuous chain of state parks along the Palisades that incluees Hook Mountain, Nyack Beach and Haverstraw Beach State Parks.
Once known as the “Icehouse of New York City”, Rockland Lake played a key role as a source of ice produced by the Knickerbocker Ice Company.
After a weekday lunch meeting up in Stony Point, we dropped into the park on our way back down Route 9W for an impromptu photoshoot of our 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 among the changing fall leaves that had blanketed all of Rockland County.
The bold Sapphire Blue hue of the GT4 is a hit wherever it goes, and when paired against the oranges and yellows of autumn trees, it creates an even more striking contrast.
