Exotic Cars to Roll into Downtown Nyack Thursday, August 5th
High-end sports cars and rare exotics are set to cruise into downtown Nyack on Thursday, August 5th for the village’s premier Exotic Car Night. Auto aficionados, car enthusiasts and kids of all ages won’t want to miss this special summer evening of vehicular “wow.”
Spanning Main Street between Franklin to Broadway from 6 pm to 9 pm, the event will showcase a spectacular sampling of high-performance and rare vehicles from Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini and other top-flight makers, including a special appearance by Sleepy Hollow-based supercar manufacturer, Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus.
Over 150 amazing automobiles will line Main Street, with street closures beginning at 4 pm. Participating vehicles will roll in to the village via Artopee Way, off South Franklin Street, beginning at 5:00 pm.
Tico Lemoine, CEO of Torrent Motorworks in Upper Nyack, developed the show idea with local businesses as a way to bring the community and automotive enthusiasts together. Torrent Motorworks specializes in performance upgrades, service and repair of Porsche and other European and exotic brands that will be on display.
“Having lived in the area, I’ve enjoyed bringing my kids to Nyack’s Classic Car Night each summer,” said Tico Lemoine. “I brought the idea to Travis Koester of The Henry Food & Beverage Co. to do something similar to showcase exotic cars while supporting downtown businesses. With support from the Chamber of Commerce, we were able to work with our partners to create an evening where people can get out and enjoy what Nyack has to offer while surrounded by amazing cars.”
Joining Torrent Motorworks and The Henry in sponsoring the evening are local businesses Hudson Spectacles, R2M Realty, Congers Collision, Apicella Auto Sound, OnTrack Insurance and Rockland Cars and Coffee organizer Race the North. (Cars and Coffee is an organized car/owner meet-up where beautiful vehicles and owners come together.)
“Nyack is the perfect setting for this show — a place where you can see and sample one-of-a-kind merchandise, specialty services, great dining — anything from the perfect gift, the perfect meal… to the perfect car, or at least a car to dream about,” said Roger Cohen, President, Nyack Chamber. “All are welcome to enjoy this show, life in Nyack and everything our special village has to offer.”
Adherence to current mask and social distance protocols is required. A rain date for the show is set for Thursday, August 19th.
